Sad joke on a Marae

Sad joke on a marae, In English this week we read a poem called sad joke on a marae by Apirana Taylor. It is about a Man who didn't have the best childhood and wasn't treated right, The only maori he knew was Tehei Mauriora.

In the text he says his pepeha in English, in the pepeha he says the pub is my marae. that is why I drew a pub.

My impression of the Treaty of Waitangi

I Think the British is in the wrong for wanting to be the chief of new Zealand. and the British kind of mislead the Maori by the words they spoke. It is fair that some chiefs didn't agree because like with all politics not everyone will agree.

lion dancing

The loin dance, On Wednesday we did an event called lion dancing we had to tie a long piece of fabric around our waist and someone had to hold on to it at the bottom of your back and lean over to make a body. The idea was to Act like a cat and do movements like a cat including spinning around, stretching cleaning, breathing and jumping. It is really hot and sweaty in the suits, The instructor that told us what to do and how to do it was called Winsome Lam and he was kind of funny. We had to do really embarrassing things and it was really weird but it made a good weird memory.
